About Grow Master

Tim Hack heads up Grow Master Landscaping and is proud of the growth and development of the business which literally commenced as a one-person operation.

When Tim Hack left school, he departed his home and parents in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland and headed for the bright city lights in Melbourne. At the time he was tossing up between an apprenticeship as a landscaper or motor mechanic.

As it turned out he secured a landscaping apprenticeship with John Anderson in Burwood. Starting right at the bottom, Tim was exposed to lots of maintenance work and also some larger projects at locations such as Melbourne University. Half way through his apprenticeship, Tim moved along to work for Geoff Burke Pools, based in Albert Park.

In 1989 Tim Hack returned to his home town of Bairnsdale, intending to only spend a short time back home before heading off to Queensland.

The best laid plans were put on hold when Tim was asked to do some landscaping work. So with working alone, he rolled his sleeves up and did that job and then more followed. When the demand called for additional help, Tim roped in mates to assist.

Tim Hack never made it up the highway to Queensland and has been based in East Gippsland ever since operating successfully as a landscape gardener.

One of the stand out differences of Grow Master Landscaping is the company’s investment in plant and equipment. The business has an impressive fleet of specialist equipment, often doubling up on some items.

Grow Master Landscaping is a thriving East Gippsland business working out of Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale.

“I’ve never aspired to be the biggest, just the best at what we do,” said Tim.
“With all of our work we have never taken the easy route and cut corners. We do it right and we do it once. Our growth, the referral business and recommendations prove to me over and over that this is the pathway to success and client fulfillment.”
“We never want to be in the position of delaying a project because the plant that we need is booked out and unavailable from the plant hire company. It’s because we have our own plant that we can deliver a superior on-time service to our clients.”
